Video
From: Saori
Date: October 17
[The video opens to a modest kitchen. Behind Saori, the now off stove has a stockpot on each burner. In fact, there might be several more large pots just a bit off screen.]
So, um, I got a very interesting situation. I've been trying to recreate a specific curry recipe and that's lead to a lot more than what three people can eat. Mostly because we shouldn't be eating it every day unlike what someone in this temple thinks.
[She clears her throat after that light jab at her god.]
Would anyone be interested in some? I'm afraid I'm lacking takeout containers so please bring your own. I got your basic spice levels: mild, medium, hot and super extra spicy. It's only got the carrots, onion, and potato in it so please add whatever you like to it. Please note I'm not responsible if you can't handle the heat if you pick that last one. I'll be outside of Yog-sothoth's temple in the west district.

Maybe if I made a quick run to a 100-yen store later, I can grab some containers. Thank you for offering to help.
And yeah, Yog-sothoth is a Lovecraftian god. I assure you Futaba's not a walking eldritch horror, and she's human. She's just a little quirky.
[Which is probably good that Saori is making everyone meet her outside the temple so they're avoiding potential trolling by Futaba's powers over it.]
Re: Text
I see
but if she's now representing that god then it's now real? Does that mean it was before? Or did the story make it real?
She seemed like a nice girl when I first met her.

Well, if there was a Yog-sothoth before Futaba came along, then maybe the answer is yes, the Lovecraftian gods exist. I know Lovecraftian lore is different as it's much more recent compared to other mythologies. I wonder if there were enough people that believed in it, then maybe that's how they became part of this crazy mythological mashup of a world.
Still, from what I understand, being a god here is more of an occupation than anything else. So, I think Futaba's not going to literally transform into one of them and she'll do her own thing.
Re: Text
In fact all of this remains a bit disconcerting for the potential madness it could bring to the world. Of course Celty will move on to other concerns by tomorrow, and at least until this comes up again.]
Thank you for your hard work in taking care of her and keeping her from destroying us all.
Re: Text
What can I say? A happy god means a happy home. I'll let you know if I'm ready to do delivery requests.
