Has anyone seen Temeraire around or heard from him? Did he mention heading out to anywhere?

In case you don't know him, he's a black dragon with blue markings. He likes to swim or hang out in gardens.

Any information would be helpful.

Then we can go look in the city. I donno if you can ride Nimbus or not but if you can't then I can carry you.

[Goten lets her hug him for as long as she needs to. He doesn't mind at all. If it makes her feel even a little bit better, then its worth it. He wants Alex to be happy. He knows she's worried and he doesn't really know what to do other then to offer her hugs and a searching buddy.]

He's a dragon right? So he can fly---I can do that so it'll be easy!

C-carry-- I cant make you do that..!

[Did he really think he could do that? Kids sure were confident over here...]

I'm okay with walking.

Are you sure? I don't mind. I betcha you don't weigh much at all! There was this girl who use to be here named Lux and she said she weighed a bunch and I could pick her up easy!

[Goten laughs, grinning from ear to ear.]

I wanna help!

............ [This had Alex pulling back to look at him. Was he..serious? It couldn't have been another girl his size if she said she weighed that much. It was still hard to picture though.]

I...yeah...I'm..I'm sure. [She laughs awkwardly.] Shall we go then?

Yep! Ready whenever you are!

[He even gives her a playful salute]

[Alex stands, taking his hand before transporting them to the city. Cars drive by and people walk past them as they appear in the middle of a sidewalk.]

Goten...do you know if I'd be able to feel him if he's close by?

[Maybe then she could sense him again?]

[Goten keeps a hold of her hand, it almost feels natural for him to. Though he blinks up at her when she asks her question. He pauses thoughtfully.]

Mmmm....I think you would be. Aymeric can usually figure if I'm around but that feeling is really strong whenever we're in trouble or feeling something, I think. I don't know the god side of things too well but you should be able to feel something. God or shinki, there's this weird connecting bond thing...just feel that out.

[Her free hand clutches over her chest.]

Has he..ever mentioned not being able to feel you?

[He pauses thoughtfully before giving a slow shake of his head]

I don't think so....not to me anyway.

A..ahh.. [ She squeezes his hand a little more.]

[ She searches around for about an hour with him, no sight of the giant reptile, before taking a break. Alex would keep going, but she doesn't want to push Goten.]

Do you want something to drink, Goten? Or eat, maybe?

[Goten is worried. An hour of searching and no luck. Surely someone as big as Temerire shouldn't be that hard to track down. Though at the mention of food, his stomach answers before his mouth can. There's a loud rumble]

....F-food actually sounds really good if that's okay?

[He smiles at her apologetically, patting his stomach.]

[That was quite the sound.]

Of course. Is there anything you feel like eating? My treat.

[Somehow, he managed to distract her from the worries of how long it was taking to spot Temeraire. It was still there in the back of her head, but she can at least do something for the boy in front of her.]

[Goten's face lights up instantly at that.]

i donno anything but I like cakes and stuff!

[Yes Alex, fill him up on sugar!]

Eh? Have you eaten a proper meal today though?

[She didn't mind if he wanted a snack, but just cake wouldn't be good for him.]

Proper?....Uh, Aymeric made me breakfast this morning and I had chicken nuggets later on. Does that count?

[He's not really concerned about that though. He's a kid with a sweet tooth]

[Yeah, no. Not on her watch.]

Let's get you some dinner. Then you can have dessert, okay?

[Conveniently enough, they'd just turned at a street lined with food establishments. From outdoor shops to family restaurants.]

See anything you like?

[Or smell might be the word with all the savory scents mixed together.]

[He pouts a bit at that, cheeks puffing out.

But he can't argue with her nor pull off that pout for long with so many delicious smells in the air. He really doesn't even know where to start!]

It all smells so good...can we get one of everything?

[How hungry was he? Though that made her feel pretty bad about keeping him out for so long.]

Why don't you pick one first, and if you're still hungry, we can try the others?

[They wouldn't be able to carry everything anyway.]

Let's see..there's ramen, curry, Chinese food--

[She's skipping over the fast food.]

I guess the family restaurant would have a bunch of different stuff.

Then lets go there! You gotta eat too though. It's not fun to eat alone. You gotta be hungry, right?

[He's already tugging her along towards the family resturant.]

Ah--I'm fine. I'm not really---

groooowl

um...

[Goten blinks, looks at her stomach and then back up to her.]

....

[He tries to muffle his giggling behind his hand before flashing another big smile]

See! You are hungry! C'mon, lets go. We'll eat lots and get our energy back to search some more.

[He's not going to wait for any protest as he pulls her along to the resturant. Food food food~!]

[How he managed to pull her so easily gave a bit of a hint of how much stronger Goten actually was. Next thing she knew, they were already seated in the restaurant, going through the menu.]

Do you... know what you want, Goten?

[Goten's stomach is growling louder now that they are menus to look at. Can they just order one or two of everything? He'd actually suggest that if they didn't need to get back to searching so this is going to be more of a snack then anything. With that in mind:]

Yeah! The hamburgers sound really good. Can I have four of those and fries?

[He looks over to her, smile never fading.]

What about you Alex? You gotta be super hungry, right?

[Not hungry enough for four burgers.]

Y-you can finish all that..? [How could fit that much food in such a tiny body?] If that's what you want, sure..go ahead.

[Alex looks back at the menu, still not sure what to get herself. She knew she was hungry, but she didn't really feel like it.]

Maybe..chicken fingers? [That did't look like it'd be too much.]

[The waitress arrives and Alex gives their orders, adding coffee for herself as well. The waitress had to make sure she heard right when Alex said four hamburgers..but didn't question further and gave Goten one of those interactive place mats and a small box of crayons.]

[Goten perks at that, taking the place mat eagerly and getting to work on it right away. He is a child so it's probably not too surprising even if most of his friends tend to be young adults. But it's probably a good thing the Far Shore doesn't have too many kids in it.

He scoots closer to Alex, pushing the small box of crayons to her and letting her have access to the left side of the mat.]

Since she didn't give you one, wanna share mine?

[Because clearly she's missing out.]
