[So it's just Lann hanging out in front of the temple of Asteria.]

Hey has anybody just found cool stuff laying around in their god's temple? Stuff that wasn't there the day before, I mean.

[He angles the camera a little to one side to reveal a large purple..... actually what even is that? ]

I found this guy in our fridge the other day.

[Lann doesn't bother explaining how that thing could fit in a fridge in the first place. Instead he then shifts the angle upward. Perched happily on top of his head is this cute little guy. ]

And this one was in my shoe yesterday morning. Pretty neat, huh? I wonder where they came from...

I figured...if your god had something to do with it, maybe it's not so unnatural. [He turns sheepish.] But I don't know what Asteria’s the god of.

[...He continues watching the critters.] By any chance...they can't turn invisible, can they?

[A shrug.]

Dunno. I think he was just as surprised as me when they showed up though.

[That next questions seems really out of nowhere though so he just blinks in surprised.]

Um... no? At least, I don't think so...

[He reaches up to poke the chocochick. In case it turned invisible when he wasn't looking. It just chirps at him.]

[He laughs a little.]

Doesn't look like it. Just wondering...

[He's vaguely aware how weird that question was, but he's used to getting weird looks from people for his antics.]

I hope they're not that difficult to take care of, though. They're pretty different, right? [At least, they look different...]

They've been pretty easy so far.

[You know, for the whole several days he's been caring for them.]

And there's only two of them. I'm sure I can handle it.

[He's confident now. Wait until he has 4 or 5 mirages around.]

You found an instruction manual or something, or just experimenting?

Nah. I wouldn't even read one if I did.

[He just admits that casually.]

But they do what I say so it's cool.

That...might be a little dangerous... [P-please read manuals...]

It's a matter of knowing what to feed them, you know? They don't eat raw meat, do they?

[trapperkeeper]

But they're always so boring.

[No.]

The big guy'll eat just about anything. But yeah he mostly likes meat.

[He pokes the chocochick again.]

He mostly eats veggies. And fruit.

[Well it's not like Fubuki reads a lot of manuals, either, but.]

[It's the principle of the thing. (...Right?)]

Sounds like you've got a handle on it. [There is a vague relief in his voice.]

My god's birds eat raw meat...it's way scarier. Heh, they've never gotten into my shoes, though. ...How'd the other one get into your fridge?

Oh, when I found them they were in these little crystal things. Here...

[He fishes around in his pocket and then pulls out a round, clear crystal.]

Watch.

[He holds it up, the marks on his left hand shine and a silver gauntlet forms. And in a flash of light, the chocochick vanishes.]

See? Pretty neat, right?

That's pretty cool.

[He has so many other questions, but he probably shouldn't make Lann think about it too hard.]

Is it comfortable in there, do you think?

[trapperkeeper]

Looks like it. Here.

[He brings the camera closer to the prismarium, so that the tiny version of the chocochick running around in there can be seen. It seems okay.]

Heh. That's a convenient way to cage things.

It doesn't work on ayakashi, does it?

[There's a small pause, and then hastily—] Ah—I didn't mean you should try it, if you haven't. [That's dangerous.]

[trapperkeeper]

On ayakashi?

[That never even occurred to him.]

Dude, why not? That sounds like a great idea!

[blizzardrock]

[No...wait...]

[What has he done??]

...Do you have more of those crystal cages? [Please say no.]

[trapperkeeper]

[Oh. His enthusiasm deflates a little.]

No, just the two. And I guess they're both sorta occupied.

[blizzardrock]

Well...there was no guarantee it would've worked, right? [Says the guy who brought it up...]

You can replicate a cage with borderlines, I think. [It wouldn't shrink them, though...]

[trapperkeeper]

Wouldn't you need help for that? Can one shinki make more than one borderline?

[He's certainly never tried.]

[Now that's something he's never thought about.] I've done it... It's not that hard.

[Then again, the first time he'd made a rectangle with his lines, it'd been instinctual, so...]

You haven't tried making shapes with your lines?

[trapperkeeper]

I didn't even know that was a thing!

[But now that he does know, Lann is excited to try it.]

How does it work? Do you just picture a shape or what?

I just make a shape... [Which is very helpful, right??]

[He really does just make a shape, though.] I make a rectangle, so it's just four lines. You can maintain more than one line at a time, right?

[trapperkeeper]

Dude, I never tried that either. They should tell people this stuff!

[Two lines at once... He takes one hand and draws an X in the air.]

Line- No, wait.. Lines!! Hey! It worked! Check it out!

[He shifts the camera angle to show off the new X marring the previously well manicured lawn.]

Ah— [As someone whose god maintains a garden...that...kind of horrifies him...]

Maybe you shouldn't do it on the lawn...

...Maybe I should come over?

[trapperkeeper]

Why? It's only grass.

[Lann has never once considered the appearance of someone's lawn to be of any importance.]

Sure, dude! I'd love to see what else you can do with lines.

[blizzardrock]

I suppose... [Grass isn't flowers, it's true.]

[He laughs a little.]

I don't know much more than making rectangles. Unless you don't know about cutting lines.

It's Asteria, right? Where's the temple?
