What do girls need from the grocery store? ???I have never been to o. E before but this is part of my duty...

1. How many types are you supposed to buy?
2. Where do you put in the straw? ??

[gasp, pulling the Yona card???? low blow, leggie boy.

Chocolates, you said?

[He tugs the cart along from his side, heading that way.]

What kind would you like to get?

[bighand]

[Here they go... into the chocolate abyss.]

We couldn't show our faces at the temple if we returned with anything but the best.

[razzledazzles]

I wouldn't allow it. There are many options here, just like with the milk...

[So that could be good thing or a bad thing, depending on how you look at it. He stares over the selection for a few moments before picking something up.] You could hand her one of these.

[He passes a box of chocolates over to Kija.]

[bighand]

[Kija takes the box, scrutinizing it for quality. Not that he knows what he's looking for, but surely if it were in some way inferior, it would be obvious...

And ah, wait.] You said I could—?

[Nope, nnnope, he's holding the box out not back to Jae-Ha but at arms length, like the mere suggestion that he hands a big honking heart to Yona could make this box bite him.]

I couldn't— something so brazen...!

[razzledazzles]

Why not?

[Jae-Ha's going to innocently scoot away to look at some of the other chocolate.]

[bighand]

[Don't leave him with this thing, where does he put it??]

Because it's inappropriate?! It isn't my place to— [you KNOW] I won't do it!

[razzledazzles]

I've heard that gods can feel the emotions of their shinki.

[He's not taking it back, he's busy picking up another cute little box of chocolates to inspect it!]

[Kija drops the heart box in shock.]

[bighand]

[Restarting......]

Jae-Ha, do I seem too emotional...? Do you think she's being disrupted?

[razzledazzles]

[He's just putting this box back when he hears the heart drop. Ah... did he go too far? He bends down to pick up that chocolate heart and stands just in time to place his free hand on Kija's head.]

Not at all. I think your feelings are a comfort to her.

[bighand]

[He's honestly worried about this now, but the obvious connection between being worried about Yona feeling his feelings and Yona feeling his worrying is lost on him. He blinks out of it when Jae-Ha pats his head, glancing up at him.

Jae-Ha... truly is a good person. His chest hurts a little...]

Even so, we should be more discerning about the chocolate.

[Somehow, Kija's feelings are a comfort to Jae-Ha, as well. He smiles, and there's something so familiar in this exchange that he can't let it go. He has no idea what relationship he and Kija had in their life, but they're unmistakably connected, and he's unmistakably endeared to everything about him. The more he watches him, the more it's clear that he's not just blindly following things. There's something stronger there.

But here they are, just trying to buy chocolates. Jae-Ha sets the heart box back on the shelf and moves his hand to rest around Kija's shoulders, instead, guiding him down the aisle.]

"Milk" chocolate sounds promising, don't you think? There's a variety of boxes here. Pick one or two you like, and we should be set.

[bighand]

[It's just chocolate, and yet Kija is thinking somewhat similar thoughts. The more time he spends with Jae-Ha, the surer he is that convincing Jae-Ha to stay that first day was the right choice - the only choice. Even when he's taunting about chocolate or staunchly refusing to open up, Kija can feel that mysterious bond and he knows— it would be miserable without him.

But chocolate is chocolate, and he lets Jae-Ha steer him down the aisle until he stops them at a display and frowns.] Milk, again...

[How many hormones are in this chocolate???? Whatever. He spends overly long studying each little box before he settles on a simple one with a dorky sticker on it... He's very serious about this box.]

This is the one.

[razzledazzles]

That one?

[The tone isn't judging, but Jae-Ha is a little surprised to see such a plain box. ...Only for a moment, though. After a second or two of staring, it's endearing in a way, and all the more Kija, and he's sure the chocolate will be that much more delicious for it. It makes sense in his mind.]

Perfect. Now, let's find a way to grab their attention and pay, shall we?

[bighand]

[Also, it says thank you on it, and since it's been a whole few days, he's already behind on thanking Yona repeatedly for having them. This will help!

He holds his box in both hands and looks fondly at it for a bit longer, then raises an eyebrow at Jae-Ha.]

Would you like me to draw their eyes? [do not let him do this]

[razzledazzles]

What did you have in mind?

[That sounds suspicious and dangerous and he should stop him, but he has to ask...]

[bighand]

[He shifts the little box into his left hand to hold up his obnoxious one, which should be enough to stop him already, but-]

I will show them the error of their ways in stocking overripe fruit.

[razzledazzles]

[KIJA... Jae-Ha reaches to grab his shoulder in an effort to encourage that hand to drop out of the way.]

That's definitely overdoing it. [Don't...] Why don't we just stand at a cashier and drop our items down so they have to notice us?

[bighand]

[But?? Hand????? There's a definitely-too-long pause before he lowers his arm, like it really took that long to consider other options. Hand...]

That is a fine plan... [nnnnehh] You could have left it to me.

[razzledazzles]

[How does he properly say "not everyone will view your hand as a good thing and you might be seen as a monster" to this pure, innocent child. Hmm. Maybe he just won't, right now...]

Don't get me wrong. I'll rely on you when it's called for, but it's best to do this as calmly as possible. We're not meant to gather their attention too much.

[bighand]

[Ah... he'll rely on him... That's one quick and easy way to get Kija to calm down from his big hand thirst, judging by the way he perks up at those words.

But also-] I would have done it calmly.

[Just wheel him to the register please.]

[razzledazzles]

Let me be of some use today.

[He's sure Kija would have calmly waved his hand all over, yes, but that's not quite the issue... So he'll say it like this. But he grabs the cart and tugs it along towards the register, taking out the first package of meat (that seems like you can drop it and have it not ruined) and drops it onto the counter, smiling as the cashier jumps out of their skin.]

Good afternoon!

[He'll ignore how startled they are at his very presence and just start unloading things nicely, now.]
