So I was thinking...

Does anyone wanna get together and play cards? Like, regularly?

I've gone gambling on the Near Shore a bunch of times, but then I start drinking and there are fights or there was the time I agreed to jump in the river with a bunch of that candy that fizzes when you eat it shoved in my pockets just to see what would happen...

Basically what I'm saying is that if we do it here, I probably won't get lost on the way home as much.

So any takers?

And the fizzy candy fizzed up! Did you know they put a lot of dye in that stuff? I can't wear those pants anymore...

I'd be glad to teach anyone! I usually carry a hanafuda deck with me and it seems like most people don't know anything about it to start with, so I'll have to teach pretty much anyone who wants to play.

That... doesn't really sound familiar, so I might not know anything about it either. Unless I knew it by a different name? Maybe something would be familiar when we started trying it?

And even if nothing is familiar about it, the only hard part is scoring and I know that part!

So you just gotta trust me not to cheat, that's all.

It takes all the fun out of things if you cheat. Maybe if I was desperate for cash or something, but it's not like I am and it's not like we even need to play for money if no one wants to.

I'm a gambler at heart and it looks like if I wanna play the games I know, I'm gonna have to teach just about anyone willing to play.
