From: Ankh - Fortuna
How many of you people actually know how to use a computer? Or even a smartphone? A tablet?
How many of you even know what they are?
If not, do you want lessons?

[And a short time later, here's Forrest at the front door. He does knock before stepping inside, though.]
Hello?

As cozy and warm it would seem, there were a few things off about it as well. The pictures on the walls were only smears of colors and vague shadows. Items seem to shift and change into other items, or dissolve into piles of coins the size of silver dollars before disappearing. There's echoes of laughter and talking, the primary language spoken Japanese though other older tongues seem to be spoken as well.]
You didn't have to knock.
[Ankh crouched in an open window, his arms resting on his knees and his head tilted a little as he watched the newcomer. Then give his head a quick bob, he jumped down to land lightly on his feet.]
You the one looking for help with advertising?
no subject
Oh...!
[Whirling around to look at him, Forrest folds his hands in front of his waist, giving a short and polite bow as he recovers himself.]
Yes, that's right. It's nice to meet you in person, Fortuna. My name is Forrest - or Lakshmi, if you prefer.

[He tries not to sound snappish about it, but he found the whole 'god name' thing annoying at the best of times. He understood the need for it but he had always been Ankh and he wasn't going to change that just because of where they were now.]
Especially since this isn't work.
[Also he wasn't big on the general niceties of society so he just nods instead of saying anything really overly normal like what most humans like to do. He was here, Forrest was here, there was no reason to go into small talk about it, right?]
Where are you planning on putting up this advertisement stuff?
no subject
[Forrest doesn't mind at all. Whatever feels comfortable.]
I'm still getting used to having two names myself.
[The directness does make things a bit awkward, since Forrest was raised in a castle as the child of royalty, but it isn't as if the army at home didn't have its more brusque members.]
Well, at first I was thinking of hanging posters or something like that, but if it's easier to reach more people using the devices you spoke of earlier, I'd be interested in learning how.

Posters would be useful in certain places. People on their computers and phones aren't usually moving around as much as those on the streets and that would be the type to bring in first.
[He produced a tablet from some where on his person, where being the question since both his shirt and his pants were tight enough to leave no room for anything hidden. He opens up a couple displays showing a couple examples of poster art.]
On the computer, you would want something a bit more artsy. Nothing irritating like music or flashing print or weird colors, but something with depth to it.

[Forrest blinks at the sudden appearance of the tablet, walking over to take a curious glance at the screen.]
And you can show me how to make something like this? Do you think I should find someone to model for me first?
no subject
[He just flips through a few more to let him get a feel for the adverts before he calls up a new program.]
A simple thirty seconds ad could work best for the computer or you can just take the poster images and put them up as banners.
no subject
[Granted, that's with clothing, but picking things that look good together is the same idea.]
I wonder if Psyche would like to help me...
no subject
[He was going to scroll through a few more images before opening up a image program.]
Ideally, you take a picture and then edit it through this program, but you can also draw things here and then save it and print it out for displays or load it onto websites.
[He just will walk through a couple crappy Ankh-drawn images to show how it's done, and then hand the tablet over to let Forrest attempt one himself.]
Course, a computer would work better for this then a tablet.
no subject
[They'd have to paint or draw it all by hand.]
Let me see... I don't have much experience with drawing, but...
[He'll fiddle around with it a bit.]

That's the short version on how to use one of these. A better idea would be the kind of equipment you can find over at the school or even in the Near Shore. Among the humans. Maybe a follower you can borrow equipment from?

I had the time, that's all. [And he kinda said he would. Just don't expect him to say 'welcome' or anything since he kinda doesn't do that sort of thing. It was like greeting people really.]

[Forrest is getting the sense that this is just how Ankh is, and that's fine.]
I'll see myself out.

Here. If you want one go ahead and take it. It's fireproof even.
