A simple question.

Of the names you bear, does one seem to you the truest?

Not really? I mean, I understand names have power and all that, but it seems to me like it matters less what someone calls you, and more what you think of yourself as and who you try to be. The name my God gave me functions as a way for them to have me help them, but that's about all it is. Likewise, I'm pretty sure my given name might or might not have significance--I don't remember.

Either way though, I'm still me regardless of what form or name I use.

That might depend on the purpose. Language changes over time, and people give certain words meanings or significance that may change that word to others.

Perhaps so.

Still, the link between name and self is powerful. I wonder if such changes matter, in the face of that connection.
