Are you tired of doing absolutely nothing in your temple? Do you want to train your body to perfection? Are you a god or shinki in a dire need of staying in shape?

Then feast your eyes upon this message: I, Sheryl Nome, will be teaching exercise classes next week at Menrva's temple! Aerobics, weight lifting, pilates, yoga, and other kinds will be covered. Miss Elsa and Mr. Hakkai gave me their blessings and so, this post is now here for all to see. And of course, you're all welcome to bring your own exercise equipment for people to share!

This is a tentative schedule, but there's a 90% chance that it'll become official.

Actually... if everyone approves, I can grab that annoying 10% to myself.

I didn't earn the title Speed of Sound Sonic for nothing. （￣︶￣） I'm going to busy for the next couple of days; I'm going to Sora's barbecue tonight, and tomorrow, Ekko and I are going to take our first prayer.

If you wanted to come over tomorrow evening, I could perhaps make time to show off for you.

i wish i could go to the barbecue, but i have work tonight so as much as i hate missing parties... that one i'll have to skip

Who would have thought that being a god would mean being so busy? I don't think I had as much planned on a weekly basis as I do here.

Ah, I hadn't thought of it that way, but if you wish for it to be a date, I wouldn't object.

I can't imagine I'd make a very good date mate anyway. I admire you, but I'm not particularly interested in that sort of thing anyway.

Dates are still fun though. I do like going through the effort of planning and executing them.

They're like work missions where the payment is kind words and attention.

i've been to a fun date once with a fly boy... he gave me a tour of Frontier when i was living there for a while

if they're fun, then i hardly call it work! but those are nice things to have

Most of the dates I've been on have been work related >_> I'm also only just starting to learn how to separate work from the rest of my life.

Obligations can still have elements of fun. It never bothered me, anyway.

being obligated to do something means stress and boredom to me

You and I have very different jobs, as well as different approaches to how we obtain them. I'm a FREElancer, I get to pick and chose which jobs I take, and what I'm required to do varies from one contract to the next. I don't have to do anything I don't want to do. Some jobs are certainly boring and tedious, but quite frankly, that's really only because they're easy, and if I can't find a way to spice things up, then the onus is on me.

That's one of the reasons why I refused to join the Hero Association back home. I would be absolutely stifled in a stagnant environment where I cannot even control my own assignments.

oh i see! it's good to have a lot of freedom in your work, even if you deal with the occasional boring assignment or two

there's nothing more obnoxious than being trapped in a box...

someone told me about some hero academy once! i wonder if that's the same thing as this Hero Association

No. The only thing they have in common is the fact that they involve heroes. The concept was explained to me as well, but if the Hero Association operated with one tenth of the efficiency and attention to detail that the Hero Academy seems to, I would not hold such disdain for it as I do now. The Hero Association is a poorly organized scam, duping innocent civilians and would be heroes alike with its illusions of fame and glory. What little good its done thus far against the rising tides of monsters will soon be mitigated by its untimely collapse and the chaos that will follow in its wake.

that's terrible! i'm sorry you had to deal with such levels of unprofessionalism if it's compromising innocent people and well-intentioned workers like that

They don't offer training, and their screening process is limited to a physical fitness and written test. It's really a shame. It did start out as a volunteer organization run on donations, but now, it's been infiltrated by money grubbing politicians and star-struck thugs searching for their shot at glory. They've even been losing people at such an accelerated rate that they attempted to hire criminals to make up for the loss in ranks.

[Never mind that he was one of the criminals they were trying to recruit, and GOD, don't get him started on Puri Puri Prisoner]

I'm obviously not opposed to heroism as a career, especially since it sounds like the Hero Academy makes sure its graduates are fully prepared for the dangers they'll be facing, but the Hero Association is professional in name only.

no training? a tiny screening process where any lame amateur can just pass in flying colors? and greedy politicians are part of this structural mess??

as a professional with two years+ of experience with show business and knowing all too well that corruption exists... this is an outrage!! who do these people think they are, making a mockery of others' heroism?? unacceptable!!

Two plus years, huh? Maybe if someone with your charisma and experience were to stand against them, they might have a chance of shaping up.
