[Morning, Far Shore.

It's rare to see Lavi post up on the BBS when it isn't under anonymous, but after waking up from a wonderful sleep and regaining a memory, maybe it's time to greet the morning with a song, don't you think?

So, Lavi starts to sing the song that's been in his mind all day (and yes, he is a lovely singer, okay). It goes on for a few verses before he abruptly stops and then:]

Anyone wouldn't happen to recognize that, would they? It's been stuck in my head all morning and it's beginning to get annoying.

[ It's not a question of whether or not Lux is awake, because of course she is. But after hearing that...

Video would be a bad idea for a multitude of reasons. He could probably still read the tenseness in her voice, however. ]

Ah. That had to be it. Should she pry? She really shouldn't, but at the same time...

It's quiet; not accusatory, but cautious. Guarded. ]

[See, if it weren't for the fact that Lux hadn't decided to put this on private, he would have been more than willing to let it go. They were both shinki, after all, and he would never want to do anything that might cause her to go down the wrong path.

I say you're a liar. [The slip is called out, but his tone isn't accusatory itself. It's blunt as if a fact was said instead.]

[ Lavi, do you really expect her to be able to lie straight-faced (not that he could see, which was so purposeful in her part) without any hint of hesitance or uncertainty? A woman who prides herself on being entirely genuine... but isn't that at all, and they both know it. So to that effect, maybe he wasn't entirely off base.

She was hiding something, but not that. It isn't what she said, it's what she didn't ]

I never said I didn't recognize it.

[ Agentle sigh huffing into the receiver, and a rustle of movement as she adjusts—places her hand near her mouth and speaks low. Like she doesn't want to be heard. Pausing and choosing her words carefully, she speaks clearly. Thinking back on that night, as she watched his gloved hands dance over black and ivory keys like a man possessed; strangely at peace, but conflicted at the same time.

I've heard it played before. ...A long time ago. I never knew that it was meant to be a lullaby.

[It's easy to think that Lux might have something to do with it, be a part of the memory that wasn't there. Her relationship with Allen has always left him unsure about himself, and after remembering that it was Allen who played it in the first place--

Well, the redhead always did live his life in the most troublesome of ways.

This is no different.

At the same time, he knows better than to actually press her since he's not sure what she remembers and how much of it she can properly recall.]

...It's not the usual sort of lullaby. Definitely not one someone should sing their child to sleep with, anyway.

Glad you like it. It sounds a bit sad for something that sounds like a lullaby, though.

[It is a lovely song, and Lavi has a pleasant singing voice, but Hakkai has to admit that it's rare to see him post.

Somehow, he doubts it's just to have someone help him identify a song.]

I've been doing better. Movements are still limited, so I can't still move as much as I'd like to on some days.
