[ It's early in the morning when his device starts buzzing, the vibration tips it over on the coffee table and turning on the recorder showing Mikoto sprawled out on the couch, a hand carelessly thrown over his face as he ignores the buzzing when something odd suddenly starts playing: ]

[ Midway through, a sleepy-faced Mikoto stirs awake and just stares at the thing with uncomprehending eyes and when it starts to loop in an endless cycle, red suddenly spreads across his body and the lazy god turns around, facing the couch, curling in on himself as he lets out a flood of that red aura knocking down the device, tv and just about everything in the basement as he goes back to sleep as the recording goes dark. ]

[ One golden eye cracks open at the mention of cake. He sighs, fine. You win. He's looking over now, but he hasn't gotten up yet. He quite comfortable as he is so the moment his eyes flick over two things instantly catch his eye. 1) The cake and 2) that ridiculous pose. A smile flickers around his mouth. ]

You always have to be so stiff.

[Prepared as always, he sets out a couple plates, spoons, and a knife for the cake.]

You always seem to concern yourself with it, even though your opinion doesn't change anything.

[Gesturing toward the cake,] At least sit up and cut a slice for yourself.

Hmph.

[ Fine. Fine. Since you brought the cutlery as well which he chuckles at the moment he lays eyes on them.

He'll pick up the knife and expertly cuts two even pieces - someone is used to cutting up cakes and pastries - before setting them the plates. ]

[Even though he maintains his rather pleased disposition, Reisi's actually rather impressed at how clean and even both halves are. Somehow, he hadn't quite expected as much from Suoh.]

Devil's food. Did you have another preference?

...Inwardly, Reisi wonders when's the best time to make some balloon animals for Suoh. Not that the god needs to know about that just yet.]

[ He snorts. ]

[ Is all he says as he picks up a fork and taking piece. ]

You sure you're not trying to poison me?

[ He asks, but doesn't wait for an answer, before eating the sweet. ]

[He lets out a chuckle as Suoh puts the cake in his mouth anyway. Then Reisi takes a bite of his own cake, answering only when his mouth isn't full.]

On your birthday? Surely you jest.

If anything, I'd attack you more directly on a day meant to celebrate your life.
