Hello,

For those of you to whom I've not yet become acquainted, my name is Naoto Shirogane, and I'm one of the newer shinki who arrived here a little over a week ago. This is my first time posting to the BBS, so please excuse me if the length of this starter entry is perhaps a little longer than what is typical. First, I would like to thank those of you who I did have the pleasure of meeting at the Tanabata festival. You each have my sincerest gratitude for providing me your time and assistance as I attempted to get my bearings on that first day. There was a lot to process all at once, so your patience with me was most appreciated.

Second, I would like to pose a question at large purely as a point of curiosity. I've noticed that I seem to have a lingering sense of hunger that is never quite possible to satiate. I do not wish to cause alarm, as it's not exactly painful to any degree. Really, it's just an odd sort of sensation that I find distracting from time to time. Has anyone else ever felt something similar? If so, what did you do to alleviate it?

as for the other thing, i dont know if its hunger or not. i could just be the kidn of person that can always eat. its never really gotten too bothersome

Yes, my god and I were eventually able to locate each other after we received some help from some rather kind acquaintances I made at the festival.

I would not say it is has gotten too bothersome for me yet either. It was something I merely began to notice more and more, and I became curious as to whether it was isolated to just me or not.

i guess you can already tell that it isnt. oh yeah you should try to find and contact deku. hes putting a thing together for shinki. that way they dont have to wonder too

Deku? I don't believe I've met anyone by that name yet.

[If that name's meaning is what Naoto thinks it is... why would anyone want to go by "Deku?"]

Oh, do you mean Izuku Midoriya?

I met him very briefly at the Tanabata festival a little bit before I ran into you actually.

Yes, I did see a posting earlier about putting together a pamphlet or brochure of some kind for newly arrived shinki. The thread seemed rather inundated with comments by the time I saw it, so I didn't provide my own response. Though, at the very least, I suppose I could try and offer in person to assist him with putting it together.

There's no need to apologize, Heiwajima-san. You have been plenty helpful already. If I appear to have gotten a hold of things quickly, it's because I have you and others to thank.

how are you doing on the shinki related stuff?

[ The fun of borderlines and all those things that all shinki can do, at least in general. ]

I have been practicing borderlines when I can. A fellow shinki who stays at the same shrine as me has been helping with it as well. However, other than that I've had little to no practice with other shinki techniques.

I did briefly take on my vessel form when I first met my assigned god, but that has been the only time thus far.

yeah. izumo taught me about how to make borderlines. there easy enough but apparently it just gets better with practice

same also in only becoming a vessel when i was named. its hard to believe i can be any help when im just a pair of sunglasses.

Izumo-san has helped me as well actually. He's quite knowledgeable.

Ah! Your vessel form is a pair of glasses, too?

im not surprised you met him already

yeah. actually the ones i turn into looks like the same pair i own. did you find out what you can do in that form yet?

He was the first individual I met upon my arrival here. Or at least the first individual was willing to stop and give me more than just the time of day.

I don't own a pair of glasses myself, so I'm unsure of what the basis is for my vessel form. But yes, I did get a brief taste of what that form is capable of. It all came as a bit of a rush, and I worry I may have caused my god some discomfort until I was able to get a better handle on it.

yeah hes pretty good about checking up on people. youll find that most people met or at least know of him

wish i could give you some insight to all of that. aside from the initial naming i havent figured out what i can do or tried much. best i can say is that it could be because glasses are easy to carry around? theres supposed to be a thing for practicing that tomorrow apparently so yona and i were gonna try it figuring it out then

A practicing event tomorrow? Is it open for anyone to attend?

That sounds promising then. I'll speak with my god about attending. I'm sure we could both benefit from the extra training and lessons.

everyone probably can. its probably better you got this chance if you havent gone after ayakashi yet

No, neither Kanji or I have encountered any ayakashi yet. Or at least, I know I haven't. We're still attempting to... more or less get our feet under us as it were.

youll probably be fine once you two figure out what you can do. its what im hoping for myself at least

Yes, we have been practicing a little to get a better measure of our abilities. I imagine that it'll be quite different, however, when we must actually put them to the test against a real ayakashi.

[ This actually takes a long time before there's an actual response. Naoto probably went through several other conversations and finished them before he responds. ]

itll probably be different and scary but you two should be fine if you work well together already
