I need advice. I have been given the most terrible secret in the world, and the person I confide in most, whose opinion I would normally seek in this circumstance, is the one who I must keep the secret from.

I am very good at keeping secrets, but I am not nearly as good at bearing things alone as I used to be. Without knowing who I can trust not to tell this person, it's left me in a predicament.

Which means, I suppose, I am asking for help.

It's just that I had something similar happen when I first got here. My first shinki was my childhood friend.

She's my very best friend. I am glad, at least, that I can keep an eye on her, but it's very worrying to know she knows nothing about everything we've done together.

And that when I go home, if I should go home, she will be gone.

I think I can understand that a little. I wasn't very close with Kacchan anymore, but he was still my childhood friend. We grew up with each other, to have all of that taken away is really hard.

And knowing that they won't be there is even harder.

You two sound much closer, but I think if you just keep being there for her, she'll appriciate it. And if you were best friends before you could become best friends again, right?

When we had only known each other a few days, I said that the best part of our friendship would be discovering things about each other. The things we like and dislike and what makes us laugh, things we didn't have the time to find out just then.

I believe in her more than I believe in almost anything else, so I know that our friendship will not be in question. But knowing that I will have to lie to her from now on is much harder.

But lying to somebody you're close to is never easy. Does she know you knew her?

I hope not. I haven't told her.

If it's really bothering you, it might not be a bad idea to tell her you knew her.

Amaterasu also has counseling shinki that might be able to help you better than I can. Your situation is a bit different than mine was.

I'm not entirely sure I am entirely comfortable with the heavens yet, honestly, to confide anything in them.

Umi-san is quite curious, and very willful. I'm not entirely sure she'll ever leave me alone if I am honest.

No, it isn't that. It's only that my friends and I were heroes, once, ourselves. Or a kind of hero.

And things did not go according to plan.

So it is always best to be careful.

Nothing ever seems to go as planned for us, but we manage anyway.

Nobody's been injured enough to be incapacitated at least.

[Aizawa-sensei had his orbital floor crushed, but he can still use his quirk and move, so there is that.]

Well, it isn't that any of us were injured. We all survived with limited injury and when we were hurt along the way, I was able to heal it.

It isn't that I am necessarily suspicious, either. But for now, because of the circumstances, it might be wisest to not necessarily believe and trust everything the Heavens say.

Did you have a bad run in with heavens where you're from?

This experience has been my first time interacting with them. I didn't think they were real before I got there.

Not in such a way as this. I have dealt with deities before, though.

We had thought our mission was clear, then. We did as we were told because it was the legend. It's taught me to ask questions.

I'm sounding very cynical though. I apologize, Midoriya-san. I don't mean to conspire. I am sure the Heavens have the best of intentions. I just do not want to regret my actions ever again, and I do not want anyone else to ever feel as we did then.

I'm pretty sure we weren't really given any real missions when we got here. Just to help people and fulfill their prayers.

I can understand that, especially if you've had to deal with that before.
