Video - July 19th
Hello, everyone.
[Luna smiles softly into the video feed, nodding her head slightly by way of greeting.]
It was nice meeting several of you the other day, and I hope you enjoyed the cookies. I'd be happy to meet and talk again if you'd like, now that we've all been returned to our proper ages.
[She holds up another tray of baked goods - this time, it's berry tarts.]
I can offer another delicious sweet to anyone who'd like to stop by. This is a favorite dessert of mine from home, made with a type of berry that only grows there. I recently received some and planted them, so first pick goes to those who helped me with that. But there are plenty here, so feel free to visit if you'd like to try one.
[Her smile turns a little more wistful at this point.]
...And to anyone who's experienced a loss recently - be it your god, a shinki, a lover, or a trusted friend - I'd like to offer my sincerest condolences. I'm afraid bringing back the dead or departed is beyond my power both as the Oracle of Tenebrae and as the Archangel Raphael, but if you've gone through this and need someone to talk to, my door is always open to you. I can't promise miracles, but I can promise to listen, and to pray for their souls.
[She lets out a short breath. That offer was as much for Luna herself as it was for anyone. And her smile turns warm again.]
Thank you for listening. I look forward to meeting all of you, whether it's for the first time or not.

Hello. Aidos, I presume? Please, come inside.

[He'll take a few steps inside.]

It's the mention of cookies that catches his attention (of course). And he feels very disappointed that he's somehow missed the opportunity to get some. But maybe it's not too late for the tarts?
Is it rude to just ask someone, even if you don't know them? But he won't ever know her unless he says hello. ]
Um, hi! I'm Goku.
...Is that for anyone who stops by?
no subject
But you're still so kind even now!

[The inside looks like you might expect - rows of pews, stained glass windows, religious statuary, and a big pipe organ.]

[He'll look around and feel vaguely out of place.]
... Should we take a seat somewhere?
no subject
[She'll just pick the first one.]
Anywhere you like.
[For the sake of argument, Luna will simply take a seat at the edge of one of the pews, scooting over to allow him to sit next to her.]

What's your name?
no subject
I'm... I've been here for a long time. I've lost a lot of friends. Most of them didn't end their time here violently.
[But...]

...Did something happen?
[She can guess, but the whole point is for him to talk it out.]

[Still skirting around the point just a bit.]
no subject
Yeah. You'd think they'd go home, right?
... But it's not like all of them are alive anymore.
no subject
[She pauses for a moment, looking back at him.]
...but Johan wasn't a shinki.
[Another pause.]
I'd heard he'd disappeared, but it wasn't just that, was it? What happened?

... He was found dead.

...I'm so sorry.

I'm just surprised because I think I changed quite a lot, but you treated all of us kids like your own, didn't you? I'm glad that's just the kind of person you are.

[She reaches over to gently place a hand atop his shoulder.]
...But if you'd like, we can pray for him together.
no subject
no subject
... I'd like that.
