[ The video turns on to a shot of Yata looking... well, that's a little harder to tell right away because he's trying to appear as neutral as possible at the moment. Despite that, inwardly he's panicking a little.

He rubs a hand against the back of his neck awkwardly as he addresses the BBS. ]

So, uh. I'm guessing waking up to find your god's temple missing is a bad sign, huh?

Yeah, it really was.

[ He manages a dry chuckle for the kid, since it's obvious he gets it. ]

huh? What'd you do?

And sorta... I'm still working on it.

[sonofson]

Well....it's sorta a lot of things in one. But you gotta be free and meet up with me. I don't think it'd work so well over video!

[what is stranger danger really. Goten just wants to help though.]

If you don't find a place, I can ask my god if you can sleep over. If that doesn't work the booths at Izumo's bar are super comfy!

[Because it's perfectly normal and okay to sleep in bars]

Eh? You know Izumo, too? He was the one that offered me some space.

[ Apparently he made a habit of it. ]

Meet up? Uhh. Alright. S'not like I'm doing anything else right now. Meet up where?

[sonofson]

Yeah, he's my best friend! You should take him up on that. Um, well, if it's at the bar. I don't think his temple is back yet.

[A nervous laugh escapes him. Goten does feel bad about that.]

Uh...i donno somewhere easy for both of us to find, with lots of space!

[Goten spreads his arms wide to emphasize.]

I think there's a park or something nearby

Izumo is, huh? And yeah, I heard about that. His god's a real hothead.

[ Heh. ]

Yeah, there's one not too far away from here. That where yu want me to go?

[ What could it hurt? S'not like he's got anywhere else to be right now. ]

[sonofson]

Mmmm kinda. Mikoto just seems super tired all the time if you ask me.

[Finding the god sleeping on the grass with an ayakashi nawing on him like a chew toy...now the best first impression.]

Yeah! I'll meet you there. Don't take all day though, okay?

[thevanguard]

[ Oh so you saw that too, huh? Right?! What a weirdo. Hopefully the guy didn't yell at you for it, too. ]

Heh. Don't worry, I'm not usually late for anything.

[ 'Why' might be obvious, if Goten is already at the park when Yata shows up. Leaving promptly after ending the video feed, Yata zooms into the park on his skateboard, speed boosted by the Red flames that surround the wheels of his board, sending out sparks as he rides. ]

[Just lead to a temple getting blown up so...]

[The park was picked because he was already practically there. When he's not with his god or Izumo, Goten tends to spend a lot of time outdoors. Yata is nearly impossible to miss from the tree he's perched himself in. Perking up, Goten stares in awe at the red flaming skateboard. He didn't know fire could do something like that! Can Izumo do that too? Maybe they should get him to ride a skate board sometime...

Shaking his head, Goten cups his hands on either side of his mouth]

Hey! Over here!

[He lifts his arm waving, grinning from ear to ear. Luckily thanks to the video, he knows what Yata looks like though it probably wasn't needed with an entrance like that!]

You are fast!

[ At the sound of Goten's voice, Yata glances around until he can spot the kid, finding him in a nearby tree and swerving in that direction.

Still, the comment about him being fast makes him grin, circling the base of the tree with smooth, easy movements. ]

Told you I wouldn't be late.

[sonofson]

How do you do that?!

[Goten is impressed. He hops off the branch, landing on his feet as he contintues to watch Yata with awe.]

I didn't know fire could do that!

It's not normal fire.

[ Yata skids to a stop when Goten hops down out of the tree and the Aura fades. But then he holds up his hand and curls his fingers into a fist and the flames spring up again, licking around his hand without actually burning anything. ]

It's just something I can do. I can channel it into objects too, like my board.

[sonofson]

Yeah it's like Izumo's but...different.

[He's never seen Izumo use it like Yata is. Goten is easily amazed to. Not a mintue of meeting Yata and already the boy finds him incredibly cool! Wow!]

So...can everyone use fire differently? I've seen Izumo do it and his god Mikoto and Eric..now you! You're all amazing!

Eric?

[ That stops Yata short because wait, what? ]

You've seen that guy use it, too?

[sonofson]

Eric? Yeah! When I first met him he showed me. He said Izumo trains him like he sorta trains me but with fire. Izumo helps a bunch of people I guess.

[When does Izumo ever sleep is becoming more and more of a question. Regardless, he has no problem mentioning it to Yata. Everyone with those fire powers seem to know each other so they can be trusted right? Yata is really cool too! Worse case he can just ask Izumo more about him later over food.]

Huh.

[ It's clear Yata finds that really interesting. ]

I don't know him that well yet, so I didn't know about that. But someone asked me to keep an eye on him, so maybe that's why?

[ It was definitely a weird coincidence, that's for sure. ]

Maybe I'll ask Izumo about it, too.

[sonofson]

[Yeah Goten doesn't get that at all. He looks a little confused too. Why would he be told to watch Eric? That's just weird.]

Who told you to watch Eric? How come? Oh! Izumo would be the best person to ask! He knows a bunch of people and he's super strong. You should hang out with us more or come by his bar more!

[Goten spends a lot of his free time around Izumo now that they're 'best friends' and if all this helps Yata feel better about his missing god, then that's even better!]

[ Yata makes a face and rubs at the back of his neck. ]

Izumo's god. He's letting me stay at his place until I find a new god. But he told me to keep an eye on Eric in exchange for doing so. He made it sound like Eric was in some sort of trouble and needed protection? But I don't think Eric knows anything about it.

[ The whole thing is just really confusing for him, okay. ]

[sonofson]

[Goten blinks at that, eyes widening a bit]

Does that mean his temple is back? A week does fly by fast..

[That also means one important thing besides the fact that it was good Izumo and Mikoto had their home back.]

Alright. I'm not grounded anymore if that's true!

[Yes! Desserts are going to be a thing again. Thank you Yata! But the Eric bit makes him settle down. That is weird.]

....It didn't seem to me like Eric was in trouble when I met him...and with fire powers like you guys, he should be pretty strong right?

Yeah, it seems to be. I thought it was still gone, too, but Izumo let me know otherwise.

[ Although that exclamation has him blinking in confusion. ] Grounded? Why were you grounded?

You'd think. Although there's someone here who has fire powers but can't do much with them, or so he said. I think he was a god, though, so I don't know if that's the same? But if Eric can do this too... I didn't know that part. Mikoto never mentioned it. or much of anything, really.

[sonofson]

'cause the temple got blown up. Izumo said I couldn't have dessert all week. It's been awful.

[And unfair. Mikoto just got a hit on the head...]

...Sounds like you're a super weird spy or Mikoto is playing a game with you.

[He seems like the type to do that. So he can sleep]

What did you have to do with the temple blowing up? I thought that was all Mikoto?

[ It's not like that guy needed help, after all. The weirdo.

He gives an aggravated sigh at Goten's guess, though, because he'd suspected the same. ] I wouldn't put it past him at this point.

Uh...I was there too.

[Maybe he shouldn't explain, but then again, Yata can't ground him like Izumo apparently can]

He's funny...

[It's said with a smile. He's only met Mikoto once but....what a meeting that was]

Eric is really nice though. If he hangs out with Izumo, I don't think you gotta watch him.

If that's what Mikoto's charging me for rent though I don't see a way around it. [ He sounds annoyed about it. ] We don't have a lot of choices at the moment.

[ God he missed Nami already. ]
