[ It's been a while since he last posted about this, but! Souji offers the network at large a smile from the interior of his temple, cats milling around as per usual. ]

Early last month, I asked if there was anyone that was interested in doing group studies. Since then, a lot's happened, and there have been new arrivals as well as departures. Unfortunately, some of those departures were people that offered to lead certain subjects, so I felt it might be a good idea to ask again. [ He inclines his head respectfully, quiet for a second before continuing. ]

As many of you have likely seen, Hakkai-san is offering tutoring for certain subjects - math and Japanese, for example - at a previously abandoned temple. I know from talking with others that Japanese, especially, is in demand due to the fact that a lot of arrivals aren't familiar with the language. So if you feel you may need help with either of those, please, take a look at the schedule.

He's also been kind enough to open up the space to other lessons so...

I think it'd be a great idea to get on track with actually doing these studies, both to learn new things we might need and to enrich ourselves since it's a little difficult for us to go to school on the Near Shore. We should be able to help one another, right? [ He flashes a friendly smile, easy as anything. ]

Personally, I worked as a tutor back home, so I have some experience in the matter. I'm specifically good with history, literature, and science, but also with Japanese and English both. For non-school subjects it's mostly first-aid and cooking, but if you're interested in fishing or origami, then that, too.

But there are a lot of us here who might not have the proper training when it comes to certain types of weapons, the use of magic or other newfound abilities, or just fighting in general. I have combat experience, but I'm self-taught and it's with swords only. If there's anyone that would be interested in offering training for whatever styles of combat and weaponry that they specialize in, I think it'd be appreciated. I know I'd personally like to learn more forms of combat, as a god, so that I don't somehow hurt my shinki in the event their vessel is one I've never used before.

If there's something in particular you're interested in learning or teaching, please feel free to let me know. I'll compile a list for both, and do a follow up after the next batch of arrivals comes in so that they can join as well. If you previously volunteered to lead a study group for a certain subject, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know if you're still interested so we can match you up with groups.

Hextech isn't bad on its own, but man. I've sure met a lot of crazy people. Kinda soulless? Or heartless. Whichever one.

Plus there's no regulation on that stuff where I'm from. ... Probably should have something in place.

Regulations... may help, although would be difficult to put into place with the preexisting problems. You'd have to alleviate some of the strain before you'd be able to mend the structure, as it were.

It'd take a lot of work. Zaun's been... well... There's no police force or any kind of government. The closet we get is the college and it just cares about results.

I'll do it though. Bit by bit, I'll make Zaun great.

She's been no trouble at all, I assure you. She has a good heart and I just wanted to make sure you got to know my face before I came by the temple more often to see her.

I'd feel better about an exchange to be honest, since I really don't have much else to offer in compensation. My experience is primarily shuriken and kunai with moderate sword usage, though kunai could also translate into knives. Ninja weapons aren't really the norm here, so something tells me I'll probably be doing a lot of substitution anyway.

I've dealt with a few people with the same ability as me that haven't exactly been great examples towards it, so I understand what you mean.

With someone so determined to get things running smoothly, I believe that you will. Especially when time fixes everything, with enough effort, and you seem to have plenty of time on your side for it.

I'm lucky in that there aren't that many differences between this Japan and the one I come from. If you ever need help with it, I'd be happy to answer questions.

I like to try and stay optimistic but realistic. Everyone learns at a different pace, and we've all got a lot of learning to do.

You're a ninja? [ Guessing, and interest alike. ] I suspect if we looked around, it's possible that we'd be able to find you a close approximation of what you're used to if not the exact thing, nevermind shinki vessels. But I'd be happy to learn what you know, substitution or not.

I don't have experience in tracking, so I wouldn't be able to identify the traces the ones that largely fly leave behind.

They like to influence humans on the other Shore, and that can lead to lethargy, illness, and possibly death. For gods and shinki, touching them without a barrier will infect you with blight, which is extremely painful. If the corruption is left untreated, it can result in death.

I'm really glad - she's actually pretty shy, so knowing that there are people here she's so comfortable with is a relief. You're welcome here whenever you'd like to visit, Kairi.

It'd be a good call I think. Kanji seems to be the one thing that everyone's having trouble learning, but even us native speakers struggle with it sometimes.

[ He can't help but laugh a little, although he... gets that, too. ] I try to think of it like we're helping civilians, instead of something like... well, that. Ideally we'll be able to take what we learn here home with us, though.

[He chuckles right there with him.] Civilians, huh? Technically I was a civilian before all of... this. Not like I was part of some system. Maybe more like I'm helping kids like me. [Poor and underprivileged. He can work that. Chronos isn't the god of that exactly, but hey, the old one's not around to complain about it.]

Things back home were actually rather similar to how things are here, for me. Fighting enemies that normal people can't see, but can be influenced by; being given new powers to combat them, from sources that are, initially, unknown; being able to access an alternate world or space because of these newfound powers. [ Nevermind his Personae being gods or members of folklore at large... ] But it was only a small group of us, rather than the numbers that are here in this place, and otherwise there wasn't any powers or anything.

[ Well, he said it, but also... ] I was one, too. But sometimes I guess the civilians are the ones to step up, huh?

That's good to hear. So if you're up to it, you have at least one person that wants to learn a little tracking.

When I first got here, the shinki I was partnered with was a knife, which I'm unused to using. I got a little too up close and personal with an ayakashi, and, yeah. It's a swell time. Holy water will cleanse it, though, so if you don't let it get out of hand it *can* be treated.
