[ The video turns on showing Zero in a dark room inside his temple. A quiet look falls across his eyes as he faces the camera. He's not one to speak to people let alone about himself but after his encounter with Sheryl, he has no choice. He knows what happened even if he can't remember it. He lost control. ]

My name is Zero Kiryuu and I was here before as a shinki.

[ A pause as he squares his shoulders to face his crimes.  ]

I need to know if I killed someone.

They took my memories when I was brought back as a god but that doesn't erase my crimes. I need to know what happened. What I did.

I won't let this go.


[ OOC: He doesn't know he died, he simply assumes his loss of memories is due to the whole turning a shinki into a god deal. Some kind soul, please spring that up on him. Also, for any future in-action meet ups Zero will mysteriously have some pomegranate fruit/seeds on him at all times. If you eat them you'll be sentenced (only if you want!) to stay one night at his temple before the seeds effects let them escape! ]

[ At the temple's steps, Zero comes to a stop. ]

[ He'll wait there until he's safely inside. ]

[ He was more than a little surprised.... As for how he is normally - a jerk :| ]

[ His fingers hover over the keys unsure how to answer that. ]

I don't know.

[ He glanced to the taller man, giving him a nod of his head. ]

All right. Until next time, Zero-san. [ With that, he offered a small, fluid wave of his hand before walking off, heading up the steps to Kali's temple. ]

[ Zero doesn't remember his eye or anything else from the fight. Whatever powers he'd displayed, the current Hunter has no knowledge of it. ]

So, you left yourself exposed instead.

[ Instead of using his powers to protect himself, he chose to protect the unforseen casualties of his attack. Zero can't help but respect him for that. ]

[ He's faced through so much worse but doesn't know it. Even so what's there to be afraid of? ]

No, but you've been making it entertaining anyways.

[ He is, but he's also adorable. He tilts his head ]

How am I snooping? You hurt one of my friends, so I wanted you to remember that.

[ Birefly met with him too but he couldn't discern if... ]

His injuries. How bad were they?

[ Without his memories to guide him, he could only assume the worst. ]

There was a large bandage on his neck. Still kind of bloody. I didn't see anything else, he also didn't want to talk about it much.

[ --on his neck...

Which meant he had taken his blood. His fingers clench on the table. ]

You should learn from him and stay away from the monster than attacked him.

[redstray]

Unless you can attack through these things, I'm pretty safe.

[ Is that a threat? It sure sounds like one. Be afraid, Eric. With his point made, Zero terminates the call hoping that line will be enough to get him to keep his distance. ]

[There's a long pause before Fubuki responds. He doesn't know what to think. He knows, intellectually, that this has to be difficult for Zero too, but emotionally, it's...frustrating to not know what happened or why.]

What are you going to do if it happens again?

[And, in the end, the self-preservation inquiry wins out.]

I'm not foolish enough to think I could have kept innocent people from dying otherwise if it'd gone out of control for any reason.

[ Easier and best to keep potential casualties to a minimum, after all. ]
