I'll say this -- any god who doesn't see you as a person to be worked with is as foolish as they're cruel. A shinki's strength as a "weapon" comes from their bond with their god, and true loyalty and willingness to serve aren't things that can be forced. A god who relies on what isn't given willingly is a pitiful damn excuse for a god.
