I am looking for someone experienced with programming and technology.

When I woke up this morning, there’s gift box with a COMP inside for me. The menu and features inside are different from what I know it should do. However, I’m not knowledgeable or skilled about technology to examine this.

[Though there's no spark of recognition on Shun's face at that question, he does give a somewhat curious frown at the term "summoning". It's almost definitely not the same thing, but it could be worth passing on the information.]

I'm familiar with technology that can summon realistic monsters, but that sounds even more dangerous, unless they're different from what I've heard about demons here. It's possible it might not work fully, though, if this place has done something to it.

[His own duel disk seemingly malfunctioned on the way in, but it only took out one aspect of the technology, so it's not impossible that could've happened here.]

[It's a long shot in the first place. But Amane isn't sure how to feel about learning about this, beside wanting to know. She nods, holding up her COMP and opening it.]

I checked and there's no demons inside... at least, demons stored inside it. Even if it does work, I have no demons to summon with.

[Should that be a good thing or bad thing? Logically, she can think of practical reasons to have demons for herself. But would she want to? She shows the menu on the bottom screen to him.]

[That sounds about right, given his experience - he's guessing that means it's lost what would've made it an effective weapon, like his duel disk. With an understanding nod, he leans in a bit to look over the menu when she opens it.]

Other than that, what have you figured out about it so far? I don't want to waste both our time by covering things you already know.
