[It's probably not a good thing to mention said eyes have been there for a few days and it's only now that he's gotten desperate and actually said something to anyone else.

As for trust...probably also not good to say that no, he doesn't entirely trust Sora. Considers him a friend, yes, but as far as he's concerned, Sora's mostly a very enthusiastic but nice stranger.]

I...well, I don't want to say I don't trust you, but I haven't known you very long. And it just feels weird to push my problems onto other people.

[He looks uncomfortable just saying that, crossing his arms and hunching his shoulders. But at the same time, slightly better.]

...That's why I posted to the BBS.

[Sora looks down at his hands. He's tried so hard to get Riku Replica to talk to him. Always trying to make him comfortable and happy. Asking if he likes school, letting him keep pets, always asking what's wrong... What else can he do but keep trying?]

We're partners, Riku. I've asked you before what is bothering you but you never want to tell me... If it's a problem, I want to help you with it. It's not pushing things onto me.

[He lifts his sleeve, showing the blight burns on his arms.] It's hurting both of us.

[Sora is in a weird spot between healing and coping with the death of a friend. So tears start to well up in his eyes again.] I don't want to lose you like I lost Axel. What should I do? Am I doing something wrong?

You're not going to lose me, I'm tougher than Axel is.

[He reaches out like he's going to touch the blighted part of Sora's arm, but his hand stops with his fingertips just above the skin. He knows very well how contagious it is.]

You're not doing anything wrong...I'm the one who messed up here.

[Mostly by being an ass.]

[Well Sora doesn't feel like he isn't going to lose him. To know he is as far gone as having eyes on his body...]

I'm going to lose you if you don't start trying to trust me.

[He looks up at Riku Replica again and tries to smile.]

We both did something wrong. I didn't know how to make you feel like you could trust me, and you kept things from me. I think we both need to start at square one.

[Sora knows very well by now that the only way to help cure this blight is to be open and honest with each other.]

It's not that I haven't been trying, it's...

[He doesn't know. He really doesn't. This is frustrating.]

Nevermind, I can try harder...or something.

[Small steps. God, where does he start? 'Lightening his conscience' was what one of the anons said to do, but he has a feeling if he just starts listing off everything he shouldn't have been doing for the past several weeks, he'll just feel ridiculous.]

...Okay, so what exactly is square one?

[Sora pushes back the blankets and swings his legs off the bed to get up.]

Let me see your blight first, we should go down to Forrest's healing waters for a while.

[He goes to stand up and has to grab onto the bedpost to steady himself. He's still healing and the blight that they're sharing isn't helping. He really needs the cleansing water. They both do.]

And how about we just talk? You can ask me a question, then I'll ask you a question. Anything, and then we'll get to know each other a little more.

[He and Roxas had played this game before but he'll leave out the dare part of it to make things easier.]

...Can you even walk?

[That need to hang onto the bedpost doesn't bode well. He'll help Sora out if necessary, but isn't making a move yet, just in case Sora decides to be stubborn and push him away.

After a few moments of hesitation, he sighs and strips off his t-shirt, turning so Sora can see better. There's a mixture of purple splotches and eyes scattered from his upper right arm to his upper back and down his right side slightly. The eyes are all fairly small with a couple bigger ones up near his neck.]

I can mostly walk.

[He can hobble. The blight sure isn't helping but he'll manage.

When Riku pulls off his shirt and he gets a look at his condition Sora feels a wave of nausea. Like when you're standing up top a really high place and you look down at the ground. Pure nauseating vertigo.]

Riku... I...

[He reaches out to take Riku Replica's wrist gently. There's no blight on his hands, so there will be no transfer. He doesn't know how to fix this.]

I'm sorry.

[If this were a different, less serious situation, might sigh, give Sora a light punch, and tell him he wasn't in a position to say sorry for anything. Not that that changes, there's just no friendly punch.]

Quit apologizing, you didn't do anything. [Wrong, he means.] I...just want to fix this. Get rid of it, whatever.

[Sora huffs and motions for the door.]

First thing is getting your butt in Forrest's healing waters. Let's go.

[He doesn't let go of Riku Replica, he tugs his wrist to follow and makes for the door.]

And you gotta tell me what's been bothering you. You know, the stuff you've left out.

Hold on, I want to put my shirt back on first...

[Don't tug him, Sora, if you can barely walk yourself. Also he's attempting to put his t-shirt back on as he's pulled, despite Sora holding onto one arm. He sort of succeeds, though he's put his arm through the neckhole and the whole thing is just hanging off of his shoulder.]

Yeah, I...someone told me that, before I came here. [Such a helpful anon.]

[Sorry, he's gonna keep tugging Riku Replica along even if he protests and tries to put his shirt back on. He's a god on a mission. He wants this healed as soon as possible.

Riku Replica might notice that Sora is still limping a little, favoring one foot over the other. But he pushes on without complaint and when they reach the doors to the gardens where the healing pools are, he keeps on trucking.]

Get in the water, okay? It's just like a hot spring. You'll like it. It should clear away most of the blight. We'll work on the eyes.

[Sora moves to the edge of the pool himself and finally lets go of Riku Replica. He moves to sit on the edge and puts his feet in.]

[Okay, fine, he'll deal with the lack of shirt. He'll just be self-conscious about it until they get to their final destination. And even there too, but he just drapes it over his back instead of putting it on properly.

He notices the limp and tuts at it, but lets himself be dragged along without protest.]

I know what it does, I've been here before...I dragged you away from that fight, remember?

[Like Sora, he also sits on the edge, dipping just his legs into the water for now.]

[Honestly most of the last half of their fight with Axel is a blur to Sora. He can barely remember any of it. Especially not coming to Forrest’s temple.]

…Oh! No, I don’t remember that.

[Sora kicks at the water, watching it ripple.]

You dragged me all the way in here?

[He feels grateful for that. Without Riku Replica to drag him here who knows what would have happened. He looks up at him and smiles.]

Thanks. I might have been toast without you tossing me in here, then!

Yeah...you weren't in any condition to walk, so I had to get some help carrying you.

[Sora did not get thrown in the pool, that might've resulted in drowning and Rep reserves that level of mean for enemies ~~and Joshua~~.]

You're not too much better right now. Less purple, but...well, at least you're up and talking.

[He doesn't wait for Sora to respond to that before sliding off the edge of the pool and into the water--clothes and all--disappearing under the water for a few moments before resurfacing.]

[Sora just watches Riku Replica vanish into the water with a smile on his lips. He contemplates how alike his shinki is to Riku in times like this, just the way he talks and acts. He knows it's not fair to compare them but the likeness pops up once in a while beyond looks.

When Riku Replica pops back up Sora's smile turns into a grin.] Well, how does that feel?

[Knowing that he's right about Sora not being much better right now either, he then slides into the water himself but doesn't submerge himself. Instead he hangs onto the edge for a moment before letting go and floating on his back.]

[That grin gets a skeptical look. He's not trying that hard to make Sora less angry, but he seems to be succeeding nonetheless, if that grin is any indication.]

I don't feel any better or worse...how do you feel?

[The water washes away most of the purple haze off his skin but there is still pain in his muscles.]

Like I wanna sleep for a week straight, but less stingy.

[He lets out a small laugh and floats around a bit.]

I don't think even you could do that, stay asleep for a week.

[He flicks some water in Sora's direction.]

But you might heal a bit faster...

[At the splash, Sora pretends to drown for a second and ducks his head under the water. In reality he's a very good swimmer, so he pops his head back out and treads there.]

It might. At least... A vacation of some sort would be nice.

[He'll let Riku Replica bring up his concerns when he wants to. There's still the issues they need to talk about but Sora isn't sure if his usual pressing is going to work.]

[Oh no, he killed his g--oh wait, there he is.]

Take a vacation, then. You're a god, you can do whatever you want, go wherever you want. Just as long as you tell me...or take me along.

[Sora's welcome to press, or else he'll just have to wait a bit for Riku to find a good time to bring up things.]

[He grins.] Is it that easy? If we don't answer prayers we might go poof.

[Sora is only... half joking. Could gods take breaks? He doesn't really know.]

You wanna go on a vacation with me?

Uh, yeah? I don't think you'll go poof, not if you don't answer prayers for just a little while...have you even been answering prayers?

[He knows he hasn't been, most recently.]

Not as much as I probably should be!

[He swims back to the edge of the pool and holds onto the ledge and lets his body fall limp in the water.]

Mostly because... you and me haven't been really talking as much as I think we should be.

[There's his pressing. He's not gonna force Riku Replica to say anything but Sora is gonna be honest. He really wishes they were closer. But why did it always feel difficult to get there?]

I told you I'm not good at the sharing feelings thing.

[Except clearly it's making things worse; the more he bottles things up, the more questions Sora asks and he's not really hiding anything anyway.

Maybe this is a good opportunity to try the clearing his conscience or whatever it was that the one anon said earlier.]

...Okay, I hate that you make friends so easily. It's...not even your fault, I just hate it. I feel like you're going to find a shinki you get along better with and I'll get pushed aside.

[He doesn't even know why he feels like that, he knows it's an overreaction, but he can't help it.]

I don't want that to happen. But I don't say anything because it's stupid. And it's still stupid.
