So first of all, morbid question here! It's a shinki question.

Since we're all dead what happens if we die again? That is, something happens to us that would, without a doubt, kill someone who wasn't already dead? I'm new and it came up while I was talking to a god that they didn't know what actually happens in that situation, and I think it would be better to know now just in case.

Thanks!

You just come back the same as before, still stuck in this shitty cycle.

Apparently.

[He's a little bitter.]

Obviously.

I don't remember anything else so if you ask me, I will bite you to death. It's not going to happen again.

[The rules of logic don't apply to him.]

The rules of this network don't apply to me.

You're mistaking me for someone who actually cares enough to try.

That's not a "shinki" question.

The differences between "shinki" and "gods" are superficial, and our "death" has nothing to do with our mortality. Despite being bound like this, we bleed, our bones can be broken, and we can die. The power that caught us up in this might bring you back as you were, but there's no guarantee.

im sorry for him

That doesn't make you any more special than all the other rats I've threatened.
killsthebuddha: (glaring)

[personal profile] killsthebuddha 2016-08-21 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
You wouldn't be. This has been going on long enough that there's no excuse for it, but souls bound as shinki are considered nothing but property.
killsthebuddha: (exasperated)

That's a start. There are some assholes around here that think being called a god makes a difference, but the truth is that they're all people.

Another thing you won't be told: You can't control who you've been tied to against your will, but you can make the choice not to remain bound to a single person, too.

We can die again?
That's so scary!
If a ghost dies do they just disappear forever?

[personal profile] jocularly 2016-08-21 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I've been wonderin' about that myself. Did ye get a good answer?

Or, in this case, I suppose, a bad one?
killsthebuddha: (it never would have worked)

It requires the false god to provide you with a name. The bond is just as invasive as with your first one, but privacy means little to people that are supposed to be vessels.

im sorry i read your conversation with someone else
but no matter what youre told
you really really really really shouldnt have more than one god

[Souji is literally as new as she is, and he has no idea why, but the very idea sickens him.]

the bond between you and your god is something special
they can feel whats in your heart after all
if you share that bond with more than one how will you know who to be loyal to
will you even be able to choose if all have a name for you

That is a good question to ask.

Though, I doubt it's entirely a "shinki" question. If someone does provide you answers, though, please share.
