I have a question for the other gods here.

Well, two questions, really.

First - do you prefer to introduce yourself by your given name or your god name?

And second - was anyone else called here to fill in for a god of the opposite gender? I'm having trouble deciding whether I should be calling myself the god or goddess of beauty and wealth.

My Christian name, I suppose! But it's quite a thrill to introduce myself as Aphrodite.

It does! It's a very pretty name. And her temple is absolutely gorgeous as well.

Is this evening all right? The temple quite a striking sight when it's lit up at night.

[ She actually does arrive pretty soon! Pippa marvels at the temple, her eyes wide with wonder. ]

Thank you! Lakshmi really does have an eye for style, it seems. I've hardly had to change a thing.

I do believe it would be a tragedy if you did attempt to change any of it!

I put up a few different colored curtains in the main audience chamber, but aside from that I haven't touched a thing.

[Forrest leads the way to the inner chamber. It's not too difficult to pick out what he changed, since there are some pastel shades that don't appear much in the rest of the temple.]

I thought a slightly softer touch was called for here.

I wanted this chamber to feel welcoming. If I'm going to be receiving guests or listening to prayers, I need to be seen as approachable.

I daresay you've succeeded! There's a warmth and charm to it that would likely make anyone feel at ease.

Good, I'm glad. Perhaps I should have a gathering here sometime for the other gods and their shinki.
